Welcome to Youth Politics

                                                    Capitol Building

Youth Politics is a political opinion blog from a young voter’s perspective. I criticize the left, the right, the idiotic, and comment on anything that is controversial. My goal is to spark up some debate over my ideas, as well as to encourage other youths to participate more in politics and to think about the issues. This site is also here to educate people about recent issues and to try to give a fresh outlook on an otherwise stale American political scene. Whether you’re here to learn or to bash me, I welcome you.

I post ideas about politics daily, whether they stem from abstract thought or from recent news. Take a look at my blog, and let me know how you feel about these ideas, or about politics in general. Remember your opinions matter and I’d love to see them.

However, for me, it’s not all fantastic. Let me explain why. First I’d like to say that this influx of visitors to DC is Read More...

Proposition 8

Written by: Alberto on Saturday, November 8, 2008

On Tuesday, California voters voted on several propositions to go along with the national election. Of these propositions, I’d like to talk about proposition 8. What is proposition 8? If you haven’t already heard, it’s supposed to restore true family values and outlaw gay marriage in California. This would bring back the supposed traditional meaning of Read More...

Written by: Alberto on Friday, November 7, 2008

Yes I haven’t posted in several days, yes I’ll get around to it. I guess after the election I’ve been idling about, although there is plenty to talk to about now that the election is over. As a quick update, I have added to the sidebar the top commentators of the blog as of this month. Read More...

Virginia Turns Blue!

Written by: Alberto on Wednesday, November 5, 2008

So here we are, the day after the election. Obviously, Obama was declared the winner. Was it a close race like a lot of others predicted? No not really. Maybe earlier in the night when the first polls were just closing and the votes had only just begun being counted could the race have been Read More...
